Garden and Planting Design for Dorset and Hampshire

BBC Gardeners' World Beaulieu 2024

Andrew Williamson Garden Design has co-designed a small outside space in support of the charity Maggie's Southampton. Called 'Together', the space encouraged people to create a retreat of any size to use and share in times of pressure. It featured edge of woodland inspired planting, engaged all five senses and had a strong focus on biodiversity and sustainability. Discover more

“The 'Together' border is a magical space and I could see myself in that forest with stresses melting away.”

Andrew's lifelong love of plants and nature; creative use of colour, light, shade, texture and form; subtle use of appropriate materials; and ability to grasp a brief; lead to atmospheric and sustainable gardens that are richly biodiverse, sit lightly in their surroundings and most importantly are fit for purpose.

Andrew works with clients to design their perfect outside space and believes that beautiful and successful gardens are created by connecting people, place and nature; with the needs of all three thoughtfully observed.
